A House by the Sea
Founders Marta and Pau Solà discovered a neglected 1920s townhouse just two blocks from Barceloneta beach. Enchanted by its tiled floors and iron balconies, they bought it on a whim — and a dream.
Concha Opens Its Doors
After two years of patient renovation — restoring original mosaics, sourcing rattan furniture, and learning the art of a proper Catalan breakfast — Concha welcomed its first guests on a bright June morning.
Seven Rooms, Seven Stories
Demand grew, and so did our home. We expanded into the adjacent floor and created three new rooms, each named after the tides, the winds, and the light that fills this corner of Barcelona.
Navigating Stillness
The world paused. We used the quiet months to deepen our commitment: sourcing all breakfast ingredients from within 50 km, switching to biodegradable toiletries, and training as certified sustainable hosts.

Co-founder & Host
Born in Tarragona with salt water in her veins, Marta trained as a pastry chef before falling in love with the art of hosting. She bakes every croissant you'll eat at Concha.
Pau Solà
Co-founder & Handyman
Architect by training, dreamer by nature. Pau designed and built most of Concha's bespoke furniture — the driftwood shelves, the rattan headboards, the mosaic breakfast table.
